Audrey Lang
When she's not hosting "Favorite Child," Audrey is a playwright, theatre educator, and occasional stage manager based in Summit County, Colorado, where she teaches in Theatre SilCo's VIVO program. She was born and raised in New York City, and as such, is a fan of tall buildings and robust public transit systems — but is learning to love the mountains and the outdoors, too!
Her full-length plays include You Have To Promise (2023 Bay Street Theater Title Wave New Works Festival, 2021 Judith Royer Award Finalist, 2020 Pride Plays), Birdie and Cait and the Book of Life (2023 Jewish Plays Project Finalist, 2020-21 Original Idiots and 2020 Workshop Theater writers' group development), alex getting better (2022 U.K. Premiere, 2020-2024 high school, college, and community theatre productions around the U.S.), Lily Ineffable (2022 Jewish Plays Project Finalist), and Balancé (2022 Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective Rooftop Reading). Audrey has had short plays and standalone monologues performed with Theatre503's Rapid Write Response and The 24 Hour Plays Viral Monologues. Her short play who's mom and who's mama and a monologue from You Have To Promise are published in 2021 Smith & Kraus anthologies.
As a stage manager, Audrey has toured the United States with CoComelon Live! JJ's Journey (Production Stage Manager) and Jersey Boys (Assistant Stage Manager).
She holds a B.A. in Theatre Studies from Ithaca College, and is also a proud alumna of the MCC Theater Youth Company Playwriting Lab and The Bronx High School of Science.
